WELCOME TO ST MARY’S ….. The Church is now be open on Thursday mornings (9.30am – 12.30pm) for private prayer, and on Sundays at 8am for Holy Communion and at 10am for the Parish Communion Service.
We need to continue with all the health and safety measures of hand sanitising on entry, keeping a 2m distance and having to sit where designated, and no singing or afterChurch coffee. Also, it is now compulsory to wear a face covering as we are indoors.

Message from Kathryn:

Dear friends, I am pleased to be able to let you know that the church will be open for Sunday 8am Holy Communion and 10am Parish Communion.  Church will be a bit different as we will all have to keep to the health and safety measures of hand sanitising on entry, keeping a 2m distance and so having to sit where designated, and no singing or after church coffee.  Also you may wish to wear a mask as we are indoors.  It will be great to see you in reality, rather than on the screen!

If you would rather not come to church yet then you will be pleased to know that the Zoom service will be continuing at 10am on Sundays for the time being.  Den will send out the link as usual.  If you haven’t yet joined in our Zoom service then email Val (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) and ask her to add you to the list. Den will even talk you through what you need to do to join in!

With love and prayers, Kathryn

Notices:
It’s back! The event you have all been waiting for! It’s time to get the vicar slimmer!! You may remember that a few years ago now Revd Jacquie Peal and I did a sponsored slim for the tower fund. We each lost a stone. Jacquie has since gone on to lose another stone and more. Unfortunately, I have put 10lb back on (no surprise there). So it is time to begin again, and Jacquie will be joining me once more. We both want to get at least a stone off (preferably more, in my case). The slim begins now and will end in 6 months’ time – Easter Day 4 April 2021. The money raised will be split 50/50 between church funds and The Children’s Society. As you will be aware from the news, all charities have been hit hard by Covid-19 and restrictions on fundraising This is our way of doing something to help others as we get ourselves a bit fitter and healthier. Please support us as much as you can. Email me with your name, amount per pound or total, and whether you are able to Gift Aid your donation. Many, many thanks. Kathryn would like all the congregation to spend some time in prayer at 10am on a Sunday morning, so that we are all praying together even though we are apart.
